Welcome

Thank you for visiting the online open house for the West Seattle and Ballard Link Extensions. In early September, we'll share more information about potential route and station alternatives and how you can share your feedback online. Sign up to receive project email updates or RSVP and we’ll notify you when the new information is posted.

We're also coming to your neighborhood to share these latest updates and hear your feedback at in-person events. RSVP below!

The West Seattle and Ballard Link Extensions are part of the regional ST3 package that voters approved in November 2016 and will provide fast, reliable light rail connections. The project is in the planning phase and is currently in Level 2 of alternatives development.

Join us at our next round of community workshops for the latest updates on route and station locations, and share your feedback.

We’ll start these events with an open house setting to give you a chance to talk with project staff and peruse the latest project details and concepts. For those ready to take a deeper dive into project development, you’ll have the option to stick around and participate in some small group discussions with your neighbors and share your insights with project staff. See below for more details!

Preliminary agenda:

  • Open House: Sign in and review project maps and information. (30 minutes)
  • Presentation: Watch a brief presentation covering our station planning and route development to-date. (20 minutes)*
  • Neighborhood Forum: Break out into small groups by station to discuss neighborhood-specific topics and share your insights. (60 minutes)

*For those interested in attending the open house portion only, you're also welcome to stay for the presentation, then leave before small group discussions start.

To request accommodations for persons with disabilities or information in alternative formats, call 1-800-201-4900/TTY Relay: 711 or email accessibility@soundtransit.org.
