Elevated Avalon Station (associated with the Elevated 41st/42nd Avenue Station Alternative, Elevated Fauntleroy Way Station Alternative and Short Tunnel 41st Avenue Station Alternative)

The station is located directly south of Southwest Genesee Street, between Thirty-Fifth Avenue Southwest and Thirty-second Avenue Southwest. Station entry points for this station alternative include two located on the southwest intersection of Fauntleroy Way Southwest and Thirty-Fifth Avenue Southwest, and one at the southeast corner of the station. A pedestrian-focused realm will be implemented around the potential station. The borders of this realm include Southwest Genesee Street to the north and east, Southwest Avalon Way to the south, and Fauntleroy Way Southwest to the west. There is a pedestrian connection going east and west that is parallel to and south of the station. It connects the intersection of Southwest Genesee Street and Southwest Avalon Way to Thirty-Fifth Avenue Southwest. Existing crosswalks and signaled intersections are located at the intersections of Southwest Avalon Way and Thirty-Fifth Avenue Southwest, on Fauntleroy Way Southwest and Thirty-Sixth Avenue Southwest, and on Fauntleroy Way Southwest and Thirty-Fifth Avenue Southwest. Bus routes run north and south on Thirty-Fifth Avenue Southwest, and east and west on Southwest Avalon Way, turning into Fauntleroy Way Southwest going west. Active bus bays include two north and two east of the intersection of Southwest Avalon Way and Thirty-Fifth Avenue Southwest. A paratransit stop is located just north of the station on Southwest Genesee Street. There are two pick-up and drop off sites for automobiles located just north of the station on either side of Southwest Genesee Street. Existing bicycle facilities run east on Southwest Avalon Way beginning at Thirty-Sixth Avenue Southwest. Future bicycle facilities are planned going north and south on Thirty-Sixth Avenue Southwest, west on Fauntleroy Way Southwest beginning on Thirty-Sixth Avenue Southwest, and going south on Thirty-Fifth Avenue Southwest beginning on Southwest Avalon Way. Existing bicycle and personal mobility storage is located at the northeast corner of the intersection of Southwest Avalon Way and Thirty-Fifth Avenue Southwest. Parks and public space are located east of Thirty-Fifth Avenue Southwest and south of Southwest Avalon Way. Potential transit-oriented developments are located on the northwest corner of the Southwest Avalon Way and Thirty-fifth Avenue Southwest crossroad, the northeast corner of the Southwest Avalon Way and Thirty-fifth Avenue Southwest crossroad, and the northwest corner of Southwest Genesee Street and Thirty-second Avenue Southwest crossroad.
