Elevated 17th Avenue Station (associated with Elevated 14th Avenue Alternative)

The elevated guideway for this new station goes northeast and southwest, parallel to and south of Thorndyke Avenue West. The station is located northwest of Seventeenth Avenue West, and south of Thorndyke Avenue West. There are two entry points for this station alternative that are located at the northeast and southeast corners of the station. A pedestrian-focused realm will be implemented around the potential station, with boarders of Thorndyke Avenue West to the north and west, Seventeenth Avenue West the east, and West Dravus Street to the south. Existing signalized intersections and crosswalks are located at the intersections of West Dravus Street and Seventeenth Avenue West, as well as West Dravus Street and Twentieth Avenue West and West Dravus Street and Fifteenth Avenue West. A planned signalized intersection and crosswalk is located on the intersection of West Dravus Street and Sixteenth Avenue West. Bus routes run north and south on Fifteenth Avenue West, north and south on Sixteenth Avenue West, north and south on Twentieth Avenue West, east and west on West Dravus Street, east and west on West Bertona Street between Sixteenth Avenue West and Seventeenth Avenue West, and on Seventeenth Avenue West going from West Bertona Street to West Dravus Street. There is a paratransit stop located east of the station on Seventeenth Avenue West, between West Bertona Street and West Dravus Street. There is one pick up and drop off site for automobiles located south of the intersection of West Dravus Street and Seventeenth Avenue West. There is a bus layover located north of the intersection of West Dravus Street and Seventeenth Avenue West and on either side of West Dravus Street east of Seventeenth Avenue West. Current bicycle facilities are located going north and south on Twentieth Avenue West, and east and west on West Dravus Street. Future bicycle facilities are planned going north on Seventeenth Avenue West starting on West Dravus Street through Thorndyke Avenue West. There are two bicycle and personal mobility storage spots located directly east of the station along Seventeenth Avenue West between West Bertona Street and West Dravus Street. Parks and public space are located at the southwest intersection of West Dravus Street and Seventeenth Avenue West, with a boundary of the Balmer Rail Yards to the west at the Interbay Athletic Complex. Potential transited oriented developments are located in the northwest corner of the Seventeenth Avenue West and West Dravus Street crossroad, the northeast corner of the Thorndyke Avenue West and West Bertona Street crossroad, and on the west side of Thorndyke Avenue West north of West Bertona Street.
